My Poor Baby!
Wednesday, Ayden tumbled off of the front porch and into the rose bushes. He ate with his left hand that night, and I'm sure it didn't feel well. Thursday, he tumbled onto his right arm again while playing outside. Again, it was a little tender, but didn't seem to bother him much more. Today, he was in socks on the hardwood floors and plopped on it again- this time, I decided to go to the doctor. After the x-rays at the hospital, then back to the doctor's office- he was put in a splint for three weeks. He has a small fracture around his wrist and this was to prevent any further injury. After we got home, I let him ride his bike. Guess what?!?! He tumbled right onto his right arm again!!! I put the bikes up for the month and he came in and watched Spongebob. He thinks it's pretty cool- says he is a superhero now. Hahaha! Poor Mommy and break numero uno- not too bad for being a parent for almost 7 years!

Happy Easter!
A photo of the kids today after church. We purchased the flowers from church for my Grandma and the kids were excited to stop by and show her their Easter clothes and flowers. We are busy now making a ham, deviled eggs, and the rest of the Easter meal to enjoy as an early dinner. Happy Easter to all! We love you!

Sick Day
Here are a few candid moments in the Kirton house today. McKayleigh stayed home from school because she was feeling a bit under the weather and we wanted to kill her cold before it escalated. She was to sit on the couch, her bed, or the futon for the day to recover. Ayden, of course, was by her side each minute. Very sweet little memories made with these pictures! I took McKayleigh in for a hearing test today and she had pretty low levels. She is scheduled for two surgeries Friday March 7 at the hospital here- one for her second set of ear tubes for drainage of the mass fluid in her middle ear, and also to get her adenoids removed. He feels that this can be causing a lot of the fluid issues she always has. She is also going to have some blood drawn to check her allergies- this saves her from the "fun" multitude of needle pricks you get on your arms and back to test allergies! It is a pretty long surgery and she will be under for about eighty minutes, which worries me- but she'll do well. Keep those prayers coming our way! Andrew has an appointment tomorrow at the Eaton plant closer to our house- so hopefully all will go well and he can cut his 150 mile a day drive down quite a bit!

A Family of International Artists!
The Kirtons are officially all a family of accomplished International Artists! I was accepted into the 10th Annual Faces International Online Juried Art Exhibition! All five of my pieces were chosen and I am very excited! It will be at www.upstreampeoplegallery.com worldwide beginning March 1 and running until February 28, 2009. It will be represented by a site that currently boasts over 800,000 hits a month! I was selected from the approximately 350 entries to date from various parts of the world. That makes Andrew, his mom (with her MANY frequent accepted pieces!), and me all on their various exhibitions! It really made me feel accomplished- I wasn't really thinking anything I did was that good, but I feel more confident to do more work now. Look for many more to come in the future from all of us!
