Sightseeing...

Some ducks, a gargoyle from the Botanical Gardens, the Capitol, and the Supreme Court. We walk, walk, WALKED all day in the snow. A nice day together, nice lunch at the Hard Rock, and a nice rest for the evening.

SNOW!!!

Andrew's first snow! These are shots of us in front of the Capitol Building. Later pictures show the same place, less snow, and the building is visible!

More DC

The first is a shot of the light snow we first got when we stepped out of the Metro today. Notice you can see the Capitol now! The others are from the Museum of Art.

Other Churches Along the Way

Here are some other churches we spotted on our walk to the Cathedral today on our trip to D.C. (The last, of course, is the outside of the National Cathedral... under construction, of course.) More shots from the Smithsonian and anything else we can aqueeze in are tomorrow. See you then!

The Washington National Cathedral

We spent a MAJOR part of our frist day in D.C. at the Washington National Cathedral today. It is an Episcopal church, but now holds non-denominational services all the time. They have two bell towers (an only in America) and GIANT organs that play throughout the week. We instantly fell in love with it, but miss our smaller version.
