Run, Forrest, Run!!!

Andrew dodging the Ayden Bomb! A shot of McKayleigh in her recent oatmeal baths- her eczema has been kicking in. We went through our tube of steroid cream already, and now we discovered that the oatmeal works just as well, if not better, than the expensive cream! We're usually pretty natural and homeopathic with medications, but we gave up and went to the doctor. Low and behold- oatmeal has done the trick best!

New Bike!

Here's a shot of the almost completed bike for Ayden! (We bought handlebar grips the next morning...) Andrew's brother, TJ, and his wife, Rebecca, brought us this bicycle from Florida- a well loved bike twice before! It was purple- and Ayden said it had to be "dark bluuue!"- so off to the spray paint place we went! Andrew made it all-boy now, and he LOVES IT- refuses to let his Sissie on it! "My bike, Sissie!!!" We took it to the park the next day and had a little picnic before breaking it in.

School Uniform Time!

We spent today driving to Greenville, South Carolina to purchase McKayleigh's Kindergarten uniforms! She is flipping ADORABLE in them!!! These are just a few of the items we bought. We have a few plaid jumpers (like this one in khaki), a khaki skort, and khaki shorts. We're having them shipped to us, so we don't have the 90 minute drive for a while... until the winter months come along and we need to get pants, long sleeve shirts, and the heavy winter coat! She is uber excited to be going to school, and says the cardigan, dresses, and headband are her favorite items! (The plaid headband is the same design as the plaid jumpers.) Now we need a backpack, school supplies, socks, a belt, and black shoes to go with the rest of the ensemble! More pictures coming when we get the little package in the mail!

How I Spent My Vacation...

Andrew's brother, TJ, and family came to visit us for Father's Day weekend from Florida. We had so much fun and the kids lived it up, as well! We can't wait to have them up again and can't wait to be back in Florida in a few weeks for another family reunion. We love you guys! Thanks again for driving all the way here!

Up the trail...

Shots from the Skyline trail that takes you to the top of the massive Hickory Nut Falls. Andrew and I watched The Last of the Mohicans the other night on AMC (where it was filmed) and the movie didn't wow us as much as it did originally since we have seen the beauty of it in person. ...now the other Kirtons can say they've been there, too!

Chimney Rock RULES!

The tots after their LONG expedition in the mountains. We did the big adult trail with them (a little leary at first...!) and they LOVED it! Here are the shots of the ice cream after, TJ and Rebecca enjoying their vacation, Andy pimp posing, and the tots showing off their best "assests" while feeling the chilly spring water.
