Molly Pitcher
McKayleigh's American Revolution Project is on Molly Pitcher. She carried water to the soldiers as they fought the Battle of Monmouth and when her husband, who was manning the guns, was wounded- she hopped right in and took over! McKayleigh ended her report with this: "I chose Molly Pitcher because she is helpful, just like me." ...and you thought all you get are cute pictures of the kids on here! History lessons can be found at The Daily Kirton!
Rainy Day
It has been raining here nonstop for DAYS! You know the kids are bored when McKayleigh retires to her room and does MULTIPLICATION!!!! I walked in and there she was- multiplying it up! She is so very smart!!!

American Revolution Program
McKayleigh has been studying the American Revolution all week- Molly Pitcher, Declaration of Independence, Paul Revere, The Shot Heard Round the World... Today, she had a program filled with songs, stories, and a bit of a history lesson for the parents! We then were able to eat lunch with them and had an early release if they wanted to go home! A great day and my little Paul Revere did a tremendous job!
Our Post War Treat!
Some shots from the program and a few of the kids enjoying their Sonic Blasts before taking a nice long rainy nap for us all!
Honor Roll Again!
McKayleigh received her award for All A Honor Roll with the Principal's List AGAIN yesterday! Three in a row! She really deserves these- she gets home and does her homework right away, studies hard all week, and really enjoys school. We are so proud of her! We're off to watch her program at school and have lunch together in a few! Pictures to follow!

The British Are Coming!
McKayleigh has a program tomorrow on the American Revolution and they can dress up for the period- a treat for those kids that have to wear a uniform everyday! I was plum out of ideas for a girl costume... so we borrowed Ayden's pirate gear and horse and we now have Paul Revere! She looks great... and I looked like I spent a lot of time putting it together!
Soccer Game Number One!
The kids playing soccer at the same time last week! Andrew is her coach, so I get to go watch his games on these nights. Next week, we'll be there for four nights as they have opposite game nights! The life of soccer parents!

The Nesting Has Begun!
The Pack n Play I purchased last night at WeeRuns- a HUGE consignment sale in our county held each spring and fall. The kids got some summer clothes, we bought this Pack n Play, a Bumbo, and a bath seat! The fun has begun! My first appointment is Tuesday morning!

McKayleigh is Terrific!
She was nominated by her teachers as a Terrific Kid today! They exemplify personality, listening skills, and are a good example to those around them! I have a new sticker for my car! She was surprised and had no idea that it was such a special day until she was called up!!!
