A Beautiful January Morning
What a pretty site to wake up to this morning! It has snowed in Asheville over and over again, but we finally had some at home!

Haircut Time!
I gave McKayleigh a haircut yesterday- here's the result. She is one cute pie, if I do say so myself!

Rice Krispy Treats!
Our little chef made Rice Krispy treats for us after school today! (Or if you look in the background, some Crisp Rice Treats- we are a private label family!!!) They look delicious and she had a great time making them.

Honor Roll
McKayleigh received her second All A Honor Roll with Principal's List today! We are very proud of all of the hard work she has done! If you notice, she has lost another tooth! That makes six in all! She is getting so big!!!

Happy New Year!
We took a trip to South Carolina today and had our First Annual Kirton Bowling Challenge! Ayden got the hang of it after one or two frames and they both did quite a fine job of keeping the scores even with us! McKayleigh managed to beat me one or two games... the automatic bumpers seemed to help...! It was definitely a great start to 2009 and my personal favorite day this year!
Happy New Year!
Andrew and I spent the night finishing up season three of LOST. It definitely topped our New Year's Eves from the past! At midnight, the sirens started blaring to wake up our quaint little town and ring in the new year! It was very exciting and such a charming reminder of why we moved here. We were both expecting the kids to wake up, but they slumbered into 2009. 2008 was a very eventful year for our family- we were trying to sell a house, under 4 different contracts, almost gave up, personally sold it to a couple that just happened to stop by, planned a wedding, moved into my grandma's house for a month while awaiting our close, battled court fees and lawyers, had a beautiful wedding filled with family and friends, bought a gorgeous perfect home, bought and traded cars, made new friends, kept the old, officially unpacked and are moved in, began painting and renovating to make it our own, and are able to rest and take a breath of fresh air for the first time in both of our lives. Phew! We are actively working on baby number three and hopefully this will be the year that dream comes true.
I hope everyone had a wonderful 2008, made mistakes, learned from them, and are welcoming 2009 with open arms and an open heart.
