"Christmas time is here..."
Our pretty little tree sans ornaments. Those we have to collect over the years or make again like we did last year. With McKayleigh in a school geared towards the arts- I believe we'll have our share of handmade ornaments!
Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with Macy's parades, decorating, cooking, baking my first real pumpkin pie- not thawing one out!, and eating all of our goodies. We have been blessed with so many wonderful things and the most wonderful gift of all- our beautiful family. Our tree is up, Christmas music is on, and our bellies are full. Andrew had a paid day off today and gets triple pay tomorrow- so look out holiday shopping! We hope everyone of our friends and family made as many memories as we did!

McKayleigh's Thanksgiving Program
McKayleigh had a Thanksgiving program in her class yesterday. They made Friendship Soup- a soup where each student brought in a can of vegetables and they all went into the pot to create a yummy soup from her teacher. They then sang turkey songs, songs about being thankful for what they have, and performed a story about Squanto. Each student had to memorize a few sentences from the book and illustrate what they had to say. They then bravely stood in front of their class and the parents and performed! The little pilgrims and Native Americans looked so sweet and brought home many Thanksgiving crafts they had made throughout the month! Keep watch for her Kindergarten Winter Performance!

"This is Halloween..."
A few photos of Ayden in his birthday gift from my Dad and Amanda and Max- a Batman cape and mask!!! He thinks they are the COOLEST and has been wearing them for the last two days! (I've already had to do some repairs on the cape from all of his evil-doer avenging! The other two are some little foamie crafts I found of Haunted Houses for the wee ones to make. They turned out really cute, and - yes... I have had to repair Ayden's house already! He wanted to play with it, not just look at it. We're keeping the glue handy and giving it the occasional break to dry!
More Pictures...
A few pictures from my Mom's camera on her trip here- not sure what Ayden is doing in that mean-faced one! Our cool corn stalks on our house- very Halloween-y!

Our Confirmation
Andrew and I were confirmed today as Episcopals at our church! It was a really great service performed by the Bishop. He only comes to our church once every two years, so it was an honor to have him there performing our Confirmation. We all took our first Communion as a family, as well. Ayden didn't want anything to do with the bread, and McKayleigh made some priceless faces after drinking the wine! The church loved it! It was a wonderful way to re-affirm our faith together and a perfect way to start our lives together as a family with God as the head of our household. Thanks to all that sent well-wishes our way- keep those prayers coming!

Happy Halloween!
Our little angles in their Halloween costumes. We are all going as a Peter pan family- McKayleigh is Tinker Bell, Ayden is Captain Hook, Mommy is Wendy, and Andrew is Peter Pan. Should be a fun night!
