Pancake Supper!

The kids at the Annual Youth Pancake Supper on Fat Tuesday. McKayleigh worked her little tail off taking orders, running food, and clearing and setting tables! Ayden had a good time eating his favorite food and hanging out with his friends. He helped Daddy out with clearing plates and washing dishes, too! Great job kids!

A picture of the pirate's treasure chest that Grandpa slaved over for the end of 2008! It is just beautiful and Ayden has added just about every one of his favorite items to it. He runs around the house with his thick winter ski gloves on, and when he is finished, has to put them, "back in my tweasure chest. That's where it belongs!". He is so funny to watch! Thanks again Grandma and Grandpa for the great visit and we'll see you again in July!

McKayleigh's Dollhouse

 

 

 

This is a shot of the beautiful dollhouse that Grandpa spent a good portion of the end of the year making for McKayleigh. It was a complete surprise and she was thrilled to get it and all of the dolls and furnishings that came along with it. Thank you, Grandpa!!!

Ayden and Gwampa Time

 

 

 

Ayden keeping Grandpa entertained suring the days. You can see, in the following pictures, Ayden's rash traveling, disappearing, and reappearing each day. Poor thing! We believe he had Fifth's Disease- a sort of chicken pox virus that has a traveling rash for a week or so. It seems to have finally disappeared for good nine days later. Of course, he has a cold now... :)

Have a Heart

 

 

 

The kids made a heart cake for Daddy's return Sunday after a looong a business trip that was extended. They were so happy to see him come home! ...I was a little happy, too... I suppose... :)

Gifts Galore!

 

 

 

 

The tots opening their belated Christmas presents from Grandma and Grandpa! McKayleigh got a beautiful handmade dollhouse and Ayden got an amazing pirate's treasure chest- handcrafted, as well! Thanks Grandpa!

Our Trip to the River

 

 

We went to the Broad River Monday with the 'rents and kids. School was out for President's Day, so we took advantage of the whole family fun thing!

Cave Bear!

 

 

 

 

We were wrapped in a true bear hug when we met this giant 100,000 year old cave bear found in the mountains. He was a twenty year old bear that went into hibernation and just never woke up. (20 is old for a bear.) The kids thought it was super cool and we continued to browse their displays- dinosaur poop, bones, fossils, gems, and even a pet squirrel were there!
