The Waiting Game
I had the easy part- I got to lie around and wait! Pictures of me hooked up to the many medications... of course, the epidural didn't work until I was given a second one at 9cm! I was shot up with every medicine in the book, thanks to our friend that happened to be our anesthegiologist! (We love you, Maggie! Wait- I love you most!)
Waiting and waiting...
My contractions and Paisley's heartbeat, the warmer getting turned on, and the delivery tools all ready to go! Just waiting for our baby girl to decide to come out!

Day Number Two!
We went back at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday November 17 for ripening number 2. We didn't know what this day would bring, so we went in with a few apprehensions. Luckily, the doctor walked in and asked if we wanted to have a baby today- and we did! We went into the labor and delivery room, added a new pill, started my epidural, broke my water, and started pitocin.
Contractions!
On day one, we went in and got hooked up to the monitors to see how we were doing. To our surprise, we were already having contractions every 5-8 minutes! They put in the pill, said she was pretty high, and to sit and wait. We waited around until 11 a.m. and decided to go home and have lunch and see what the day brought. We were now having contractions every 2 minutes apart, but nothing more. We walked around every store in our county and continued around the neighborhood until it was dark. We then realized her birthday would not be on Monday...

Voting Tomorrow!
The kids campaigned at church yesterday! Our little walking signs! These are the most expensive campaign ads we will ever purchase- and we still have many many more years to pay for these two!

Happy Halloween!!!
Once we got home tonight, I realized I only took pictures of the kids from behind!!! Oh well! They had a great night- trick or treated in Spindale while Daddy did some political schmoozing, then we went to church for a carnival. Kids were loaded with treats and passed out as their heads hit the bed. Happy Halloween, everyone!
Rainy Day Crafts
A rainy Halloween day here in Spindale. We are going to skip the Trick or Treating, I think, and just stick to the church carnival tonight. Plenty of food, games, candy, and prizes- plus, we are surrounded by our friends and "family". I made the kids some shirts to wear on Tuesday as they hold signs up for their Daddy's election. They wanted to put them on right away, of course- but we're going to save them for Tuesday.

Jack-o-Lantern Time!!!
Daddy helped the kids create two beautiful jack-o-lanterns this evening after working all day, mowing, edging, and raking leaves. He is such a trooper! They had a fun time and enjoyed some yummy pumpkin seeds before bed. I love the fall!
Ayden's "Bliss"
Ayden has been carving pumpkins for three years now... and he still hates cleaning out the pumpkin. This year, he pretended to be having a great time- but the looks on his face told the truth! Poor baby! At least he loves to eat the seeds he so disgustingly removed. :)
