McKayleigh at the dirt track race yesterday in South Carolina. All she wanted to do was watch the race and cheer on the team! We all can't wait to go again! Our friends own a car and are trying to get Andrew to drive it for them- so we'll see how it all goes down. All we know, is that it is crazy fun, crazy dirty, and VERY southern!

We went to our first dirt race yesterday and had a blast! We were covered in dust, freezing at the end, made a lot of friends, made some good connections, and had a great time! McKayleigh never wanted to leave the stands- she was really into it!

We became godparents, this Sunday, to a total of three boys! It was a beautiful ceremony and a very special day for us all! The first picture is from Grace Episcopal in Morganton when we went to visit. It is still hard to beat the stained glass at St. Francis!

We spent Saturday in Morganton- a city we hadn't ventured off into, yet. It had cozy little coffee shops, pizza parlors, organic bakeries, and such. Beautiful weather and a fun day out and about.

We had a fabulous Halloween at our beautiful home this year! The kids were Captain America and Hannah Montana (thanks Mom!) and they loved to dress up all day! We had over 100 kids come by, a beautiful night, fun music playing, and guests came over for a late night hang out!

Haunted Maze!

 

 

We took our St. Francis Youth to the Haunted Corn Maze Sunday night and had a BLAST! I had about 6 kids clinging to me as we were chased by chainsaws, clowns, and ghosts! Andrew took our kids through a regular maze as I was busy with the others. Apparently, you are supposed to find your way through a huge maze in a cornfield in the dark using a map that has markers on it and the maze to find your way out. Well, people had stolen the markers in the maze, so Andrew and the kids had to find their way through using the stars above as their map back out! I love my smart husband! We all made it back safely and went out for ice cream after!

All "A" Honor Roll!

McKayleigh was handed an award today during thir morning announcements at school in the gym from her Principal! She worked very hard all quarter and was awarded all "A" Honor Roll and made the Principal's List- meaning she was selected by her teachers as a good example, a leader, and an all around good person! HOORAY FOR MCKAYLEIGH! We are so proud and hope to see many more of these!
