She played another fun soccer game today and did so well! She is REALLY good out there and loves to play defense- we just have to keep coaxing her to get on offense!

McKayleigh had her first soccer game today! She was very excited to get her jersey- and chose number one! All of the kids were so good and most importantly- McKayleigh had a BLAST! She kept volunteering to go back in the game if they needed an extra player and was upset that it was over. Next game- THURSDAY!

Our little baby boy turns four today! It is crazy to think that our BABY is four, but time has quickly passed. We love you, Ayden, and wish you a very happy birthday!

McKayleigh's first day of ballet at the big Thomas Jefferson today. She had a blast and I can tell she is going to do very well!

It was quite warm today during practice, but McKayleigh was a trooper and stuck with it. Of course, she bonked heads with another boy, was wailed in the back with the ball by Daddy, and then watched him kick it right into Mommy's head- knocking her hat clean off! Good, clean, honest soccer fun! :)

Cadillac Escalade!

 

 

 

 

We've done it! We have taken advantage of the amazing prices out there on SUVs. The car companies are practically giving away SUVs right now while it is election year and gas prices are at a high. The gas prices are going to drop and those that sold their SUVs they needed to suit their families for smaller, compact cars will soon be looking for their original SUVs and a new hefty price tag. We basically got it while the getting was good! Our Odyssey was needing 4 new tires and a timing belt- a nice few thousand dollars. Andrew worked with a lady when he sold Chryslers and we visited her and she hooked us up. Everyone at the dealership was amazed at our deal, as were we! It is a beautiful vehicle- wood interior, leather, 3 rows of seating, and just a very enjoyable ride all around.

Clubhouse Day Three

 

 

 

 

We have a roof! We shingled and hammered out roof into place today! It is really coming together quickly! So far, the grand total is $30 for this sweet play area. That's right- $30! The kids think it is just the bees knees and we already see so many cool things happening with it in the near future. They still want doors and I have plans for flooring, landscaping, Christmas lights, outdoor solar lighting. mailbox, telescope, a "telephone" made from pipes and tubes around the corners, and so much more! Paint and more accessories are next on the list, and the paint will be free and still match our house!
