Pictures Galore...

A box in the science room that had holes you sniff and try to recognize the scents, from lemons to pickles. McKayleigh got almost all of them right! Then, a picture of Ayden discovering lightning. Finally, a big mirrored riangles representing a kaliedescope. (Spelling?)

More Fun at the Museum!

Some shots of the art room with Ayden mastering the scissors- or attempting to! Another few of the crawlspace Ayden discovered that had a blacklight in it to show rocks and how they glow. He thought this was the coolest- kept telling me his shirt was purple and he wasn't afraid in the dark! Hee hee. Then, one of Ayden enjoying the drums in the Alphabet room- geared towards little kids, but they liked it a lot. (Birth to 5- so found a bunch they liked!)

Some shots of McKayleigh as a news anchor, in the grocery store, building magnetic cars, and in the art room using shape punches. I liked the art room best- tons of markers, colored pencils, scissors, crayons, paints, stamps, magazines for collages, glue, and the like. The kids seemed to have this as a favorites, as well! We rushed off to the other rooms to make sure we could see it all in the two hours before it closed!

My Valentine's Views

The gorgeous views I got to witness today. I love my life.

Hickory Nut Falls

Absolutely breath-taking. These pictures don't do it any justice. It is over 200 feet tall and half-frozen at the moment. The elevator guide told us there are trails to walk that take you to the top of it opening in April. The countdown begins...! Posted by Picasa

My Chilly Willies

Not much to say here other than I have been very blessed with my bautiful family. Posted by Picasa

Our Little Indians

We found this little cave on our 3/4 mile expedition up the mountain to the falls. It was pretty cool to stand next to (and under!) this carved out spot. We imagined Natives hiding out under like we were to keep warm. At this point, it was a blistering 27*, which we thought was cold. That was until the Chimney Rock employees told us that the wind chill subtracted 15 more degrees!!! Yes, it was extremely cold and windy. Hiking and carrying the little one helped keep us much warmer. Posted by Picasa

"Whatchu Talkin' 'bout, Willis?"

McKayleigh, always the ham, posing for the camera at a little eatery inside of a pharmacy here. Cheap and GOOD food!!! A new Kirton favorite for sure. Kids meal including fries and a drink for $2.50!!! Posted by Picasa

Valentine's Celebration

McKayleigh wanted her nails painted today, and just happened to select three Valentine's Day hues. So, I added a little embelishment to them via the painted hearts. She was really excited about them and wanted all to see.
